What styles do I teach?
I teach many styles including Rock, Blues, Indie, Jazz and popular music. You choose what you want to learn or we can work to one of my curriculums (I have these for each style). If you prefer, you can simply choose artists/songs that you’d like to learn. I aim to teach students essential techniques through their own musical interests. Additionally, I have experience of putting students through both Rockschool & RGT Acoustic Guitar grades and hold grade 8 at distinction level.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons take place in my teaching studio at my home in Kings Stanley. There is easy, free parking nearby.
If you would like further info about my teaching style then please call (07922 159 574) or drop me (Andy) an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Information for Beginners
Taking up an instrument is a mixture of excitement and bewilderment. To help beginners I’ve put together a mini guide called ‘Taking up the Guitar’. Download the document for advice on:
- What instrument to buy? Acoustic v Electric
- Where to purchase from? Local guitar shop vs Internet
- What accessories you will need

I find beginners regularly have questions outside of lessons too – to help support you whilst learning I’m happy to field emails between lessons, no matter how small the question!
Whenever possible I will try and use songs/artists that you are interested, that said I also have a beginner’s curriculum which covers essential aspects of playing. This curriculum is designed to ensure you develop all of the essential skills and knowledge to help you progress.
Don’t forget I offer all new students a free 30 minute introductory session to get you started. This can be a good opportunity to ask any questions that you might have or for me to provide advice on what guitar to buy and where to purchase it from.
Finally, I have been teaching beginners for a long time, I am very patient, will encourage you and provide you with many tips that the internet or a book just won’t tell you!
